Meet The Helping Young Minds Trustees

Julie Laming - Helping Young Minds Trustee

Julie Laming

Julie Laming Julie started Mad4Dance over 15 years ago with a firm determination to use dance as a way of developing self-confidence and self-belief in young people. Julie has seen the positive impact dance can have on a young person’s mental wellbeing but knows there is so much more to be done to help young people in our community. Julie’s own personal experiences has also contributed to her deep commitment to help build a mental health charity for children and young people.

Nick Love - Helping Young Minds Trustee

Nick Love

Nick was a Partner in a local firm of accountants for nearly 25 years where he worked with a cross section of owner managed and family businesses. If he had to highlight one skill those experiences gave him it would be “good listener” because there are a lot of different dynamics going on in a family business so you need to be able to pick up on the needs of not just the business but the family as well. Nick advised around 50 charities which enabled him to bring a commercial aspect to them, drawing on the experiences of his business clients to add some valuable advice to what, in recent years, has become a rapidly changing sector facing funding challenges. Nick is excited to be able to use his knowledge and experience within Helping Young Minds.
